[events] and more!
Beaver Valley May Days is currently celebrating its 100th year. And just like the past years, the Beaver Valley council prepared fun activities varying from sport tournaments to heritage-type events. Day 1 commenced with the Slo-pitch Tournament, Seniors' Tea Party, and Columbia Power Corporation Fireworks, to name a few. The latter is said to be one of the most anticipated event as the constituents of the Beaver Valley patiently waited until dark at the Haines Park, Fruitvale. Day 2 followed with a parade, which showcased decorated bikes and floats of the Beaver Valley villages. Antenna Trail Hike, Waneta Dam Tour, and Train Rides were some of the featured events during the day. More of sports tournaments like Street Hockey and Cal Ripken Major Ball also started today despite the rainy weather. Tomorrow will be the last day of the celebration and I must say, the events are perfect for family bonding. Don't miss out the Family Walk/Run and Church Assembly, which are both happening in the morning. ;)

Moving to another country is no different from the consequences of bullying
. You feel so alone, unwanted, and often leading to low self-esteem. I used to say that I'm ready to embrace my future
but it was just recently that I had second thoughts. Things are way difficult than it used to be. I remember a friend
telling me months before my trip that I've got no stress
in life. And now, it seems that they are all over me. I've never been tired like this. Everything that's happening now is so unhealthy, not just for me, but also for my mom & brothers. Hmmmp. I hope that whatever challenge this is that we are facing right now, we are always guided to make the right decisions. I also hope that in the long run, our stay here wouldn't be a NUGATORY
endeavor.

Here's a slideshow of the snapshots I took during the Asian Food and Dance Festival held at the library of my beloved Alma Mater, UP. This, I think, was the last activity I have attended to before leaving for Canada. I really enjoyed watching the performances of my co-iskolar ng bayan. But what I loved the most were the mouth-watering Asian foods [hahaha! i was lucky enough to be able to taste some of the delicious dishes despite the tight competition with other attendees].
Below is the performance of the winning group. The music ain't that clear, though. Just indulge yourself with the visuals. Haha!

T.G.I.F! 'Coz it's time for some to relax from stressful work.
Back in the Philippines, I used to spend Friday nights drinking with friends. And then another few shots during the weekend. Every drinking session was a fun night. We drink, dance, laugh, sing, and PLAY. We even came up with this motto: Study hard, party harder! Of course, you should know how to manage your time so you can perfectly balance demanding acads with the pressures of social life. That's always a part of a student's life unless you feel like living your student years with a b---o--r--i--n-g one. Anyhow, I've got a song here which I know most Friday night party-goers
